When, you applaud in a convinced manner at the theatre, impressed by the luxurious scenography fascinated by how real everything looks: the pillars, the ceiling, the flooring, the boulders all around the set, bewitched by the magnificence of the costumes, the body armour, the weapons, as to how the soldiers walk in the mud When, whilst watching a film you are frightened by the sight of blood and butchered flesh, when you squeeze your eyes because an actor has just gone through plate glass and who knows what pain he or she feels When, after watching an advert on television you buy the car because you feel like Superman, or because you are convinced that there are frozen streets in Venice which people skate on, or because you saw the car dart through mounds of white snow, or else when you buy vodka or a cold drink because you felt really thirsty watching an advert or the biscuits because they looked really nice or the cake because it looked so spongy and fragrant or the coffee because it was steaming or the yogurt because it looked so creamy or the cheese because it looked delicious or the ice cream because it looked so soft.... .....well, let me tell you that in actual fact it's all fake! And that we make these things.

The company's artistic director Graham Eatough, co-founded the company in the early 1990's with now leading Scottish playwright David Greig and musician/ composer Nick Powell.
